I will find out the title. You may find you've already read it, I don't know. I haven't got round to reading it yet.

Ooh I love recommending books, so here goes:
Wind on Fire trilogy (The Wind Singer, Slaves of the Mastery, Firesong) by William Nicholson (probably written for ages 12 - 15 but I read at 17 and it is still fab) The Old Kingdom trilogy (Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen) by Garth Nix His Dark Materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman Stravaganza trilogy (City of Masks, City of Stars, City of Flowers) by Mary Hoffman The Sight by David Clement-Davies Watership Down by Richard Adams Touching the Void by Joe Simpson The Discworld series by Terry Pratchett Across the Nightingale Floor by Lian Hearn (and probably the rest of this trilogy, I haven't got round to it yet) The Deptford Mice trilogy (The Dark Portal, The Crystal Prison, The Fianal Reckoning) by Robin Jarvis - best read before - The Deptford Histories trilogy (The Alchymist's Cat, The Oaken Throne, Thomas) by Robin Jarvis And of course Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. If you've only seen the films of either, READ THE BOOKS, they're better. I'll happily give a synopsis of any of these anyone is interested in.

I've read His Dark Materials and The Alchymist's Cat which are brilliant. I nearly finished The Oaken Throne a few years ago but I never finished it. I was really enjoying it so I don't know why. I'd recommend The Kin by Peter Dickinson- I've read it about 3 or 4 times.

Oh is that the series about life in the bronze age (or is it stone age)? I've read Mana's Story which is really good, I'd recommend it too. I'm fairly sure I read the others too which were also good, it's just that that's the only one I own.

Yeah it's something like that. I'd also recommend Philip Pullman's other series of books. They are- 'The Ruby in the Smoke', 'The Shadow in the North', 'The Tiger in the Well' and 'The Tin Princess'.
