Nikki is an anthropological arcaeologist and arrives at the pathology unit to use Harry and Leo's equipment. She isn't really looking for a job in pathology, but her skills in facial reconstruction impress both Harry and Leo, and after much discussion they offer her a job as apprentice pathologist. She accepts, and several series later, we find Nikki and Harry embarking into a rocky relationship. Naturally, they are well suited and hopefully their relationship will become more stable as the next series appears next July. In the meantime, we have sunday night repeats to keep our imaginations on the go.
